Terms of Use

These terms govern ScaleLens, provided by Nurl.lib. By using the app or service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Questions can be sent to scalelens@jzku.eu.org.

What ScaleLens provides

ScaleLens uses photos and optional descriptions to estimate weight or calories and identify plants, animal breeds, antiques and gems. Results are approximate, may be incomplete or incorrect, and depend on image quality and the AI service. The app is not a physical scale, laboratory test, professional appraisal or medical service.

Use results carefully

• Do not rely on estimated weights for medication, trade, safety limits or other decisions requiring accurate measurement.
• Calorie and nutrition estimates are informational and are not medical advice or a substitute for qualified dietary care.
• Plant identification does not establish that something is safe to eat, handle or give to animals.
• Breed results are estimates, not genetic or veterinary determinations.
• Antique and gem identification does not establish authenticity, age, origin, treatment or market value. Obtain professional inspection before making a purchase or valuation decision.

Device accounts and scan credits

The service may recognize your device through Android ID and issue a device account. Credits may be granted on registration or through optional rewarded ads. Current grants and rewards are shown in the app or service configuration and may change for future use. Credits are used only within ScaleLens, have no cash value and are not transferable. Duplicate, fraudulent or unverified reward claims do not earn credits. Availability of rewarded ads and successful reward verification are not guaranteed.

Acceptable use

You must have the right to submit your photos and notes. Do not submit unlawful material, infringe others' rights, impersonate another user, bypass device restrictions or proof-of-work checks, automate abusive requests, manipulate rewards or interfere with the service. We may suspend or block device access to address misuse. Deleting a device account removes its active account records; it does not entitle you to bypass a ban or repeatedly claim registration rewards.

Your content and privacy

You retain your rights in submitted content. You permit us and necessary service providers to process it to supply the requested features and maintain the service. Our Privacy Policy explains data handling, retention and deletion requests. Do not submit content containing sensitive information that is unnecessary for recognition.

Availability and third parties

Features, models and service limits may change. Network, AI provider and advertising availability can affect results and timing. We may interrupt service for maintenance or stop offering a feature. Third-party services are governed by their own applicable terms and privacy notices.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis without a promise of accuracy, uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose. You are responsible for verifying results before acting on them. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes and contact
